Solana Social Explorer

A social-first crypto trading platform where the whole point is copying what people you follow are doing. I redesigned it around one habit: see a trade, make a trade, in as few clicks as possible.

final
The problem

Growth revealed issues with navigation, trust, readability, and hidden core actions.

Users could already follow wallets and copy trades, but the swap action, the entire reason people opened the app, was buried three clicks deep. Feedback rolled in fast once the community had a place to leave it.

complaints
Research

User feedback, a competitor teardown, then a mood board to find the visual identity worth keeping.

method
Prioritizing

17 issues, sorted by importance and effort.

The clear winner: swapping needed to be everywhere, not buried behind a page. That became the whole redesign brief.

priority
Iterations

Three ways to make swap always reachable.

Option 1
Scroll left to right, from activity feed to swap to token details.
option1
Option 2
A swap tray that's always available, open, close, and pre-filled based on what you're viewing.
option-2
Option 3
Swap as its own item in the main navigation.
option3

We went with Option 2, a persistent swap tray, then spent the rest of the round tightening hierarchy and dialing back visual noise.

Impact

$50M in trading volume in two months.

Clearer navigation and a persistent swap tray turned the same core features into real usage.

Zumi

A consumer AI app that evolved into a virtual pet. Zumis are companions with their own personalities and "lives", you take care of yours, and over time it generates stories with the friends it makes.

intro
The brief

Build an AI companion that Gen Z feels genuinely connected to.

The insight: make it fun. Make it a game where users create their own Zumi, a digital pet with a unique personality. Zumi targets 12 to 18 year olds who want more engaging, personalized entertainment than static gameplay offers.

Character & world building

Zumi began as a "ghost", playful, slightly strange, soul-like.

It evolved through sketching, 3D modeling, and color research into a form that avoids human and holiday tropes. The figure was developed in Maya, kept deliberately raw, drawing on Gen Z pixel-culture influences and refined through expressive colors and faces.

Onboarding

A longer onboarding, on purpose.

More questions and testimonials, to help users bond with their Zumi before they even meet it. Testing showed the longer flow made people more invested in finishing it, raising completion to 84%.

Retention experiments

Experiment one: a daily habit, opening a note with immersive content from your Zumi.

Experiment two: inviting a friend, so the two Zumis could hang out, making users more invested in checking on their Zumi's life.

Protocol · Brand & product

Tapestry

My goal was to translate an abstract product into a clear, client-facing vision by turning a technical whitepaper into client identification, visual moodboarding, and a landing page. The project targets crypto builders who need an easy way to integrate social features, addressing the challenge of making complex infrastructure feel accessible, tangible, and desirable.

Visual language

What does an abstract protocol look like?

The development covers logo design, color palette, typography, and illustrative style. The mark reads as a core representation of the brand, nodes connecting outward, echoing a DNA spiral and the fundamental nature of the connections the protocol makes.

logos
The pitch

Making a technical product skimmable.

The landing page leads with a clear value proposition and a strong call to action driving early access. It communicates Tapestry's reliability, how easily developers can integrate social features, and how they access cross-network crypto social data, using vibrant graphics to guide attention and reinforce key ideas.

Primitives

An NFT platform connecting artists and collectors through curated digital artwork and community-driven support. I led product vision, design, and the end-to-end experience. Users can collect and own NFTs created by artists and creatives while supporting their favorite artists, designed to serve both creators and collectors.

On a phone

Collecting, with the interface out of the way.

The mobile website showcases NFTs created by artists and creatives, keeping the artwork at full bleed.

Profiles as galleries

One surface, two opposite audiences.

I designed personal profiles for users to define their aesthetic, alongside virtual galleries to curate their work. These shareable profiles offer a glimpse into someone's creative output, and let users curate the artwork they have collected from others.

Writing code

I build what I design. Enough front-end fluency to prototype in the real medium, read a codebase, and hand engineers something that already works, not a spec they have to interpret.

Making with my hands

My creative practice spans turning earth's soil into vessels, building colorful resin creations, bending bamboo into wild new shapes, and creating futuristic conceptual designs.

Shaped by time with Gaetano Pesce at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Bamboo U in Bali, and Alex Schweder in NYC and Germany.

About & contact

I'm a product design leader with 10+ years across software engineering, product design, and strategy. Most recently I served as Head of Design at an AI startup, where I built the design function from the ground up, led product strategy, and partnered closely with the founders to take products from concept to launch.

I combine strategic product thinking with strong visual design and technical fluency, which lets me work across design, engineering, and leadership.
